Price Paid: $599.00 from Circuit City

Summary:

Very user-friendly except for the fade feature. You need to push the button on the inside of bodyto activate or deactivate. Makes for a unstable picture as you "feel" for the button.
Reliability has been good and this camera has many miles on it. Needed only a cleaning up until this year of 2007 when the tape jammed in the drive. Told that athe drive was faulty and repari was more than it was worth, so now it's a bookend.

Strengths:

Excellent outdoor video quality.

Weaknesses:

Indoor without light is substandard. Stills to mc are terrible.

Summary:

Looks like a bad choice. Poor picture quality under low light, tape jams when rewinding, poor still picture quality. Not going to buy another of canon product

Summary:

Good camcorder when it works.

Strengths:

Good video image quality for exterior.

Weaknesses:

Grainy video under low light. Digital pictures quality only good for web. Unreliable tape drive, jam during rewind. Camera going in the shop for repair for the 4th time...

Customer Service:

Futureshop's service department is hell. They don't care about you... I am going to Canon directly this time...

Price Paid: $547.00 from Samy''''s camera, Pa

Summary:

I purchased a Sony and had it one day and took it back. I found this Canon at Samy and could not believe my eyes....$547.00.....unbelievable!!!! I have never been happier with any single purchase. This camera is small, easy to use and I often find myself looking for a reason to get it out of its case.
