Review 1 of 2

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:

Found the macro mode to be incredible, but otherwise this camera is average. Very clear indoor shots with flash, but perhaps a bit TOO bright. None of the famous blue problems, but it's true that it always has a bit of noise regardless of which "scene" mode or manual mode you use. Nice to have all those manual options, though: focus, white balance, shutter speed increments of one second. Very quick shutter lag. updated the firmware to v1.11 and still have noise problems, but not when it's in macro mode. which by the way is truly out of this world! Took some pictures of a spider web on our fence, and at 100% you could see the dust ON the dust ON the spider web, I kid you not! but I still regret that I didn't wait for the sony dsc p52 or p72.

Strengths:

Quick shutter lag, lots of manual options, excellent macro mode, strong flash. good flawless software (on windows 98SE Dell laptop, and on Mac osX Powerbook)

Weaknesses:

noise noise noise. no rechargable batteries. no sound with video.

Customer Service:
