from Ritz (In store) Summary: Updated older 2 MP P&S camera. Wanted a quality, easy to use camera. Originally purchased a Nikon Coolpix 4600 camera, but could not live with the 10+ second cycle time between flash pictures. Decided on the Kodak C360, despite the lack of reviews out there. The C360 is a very impressive P&S camera. Very easy to use and has many scene-assist modes, all accessible though the menu system. Its a 5 MP camera and takes beautiful pictures under most conditions. It is pretty quick with about 2 seconds between flash shots. The camera is easily manipulated with one hand and is small enough to pop in a shirt pocket. It starts up quickly and I love the 2” LCD viewfinder. It is absolutely the best I’ve ever seen on battery usage. Played for several hours getting acquainted with features, took 350+ pictures with flash/LCD on, and downloaded to the computer several times--all on the provided CRV3 lithium battery with no signs of battery fatigue after nearly two weeks. Two great features are the internal red-eye compensation and an in-camera crop capability. The red-eye feature works whether you select red-eye flash mode or not. The in-camera crop allows you to crop/zoom. I’ve done this 2-3 times on some full 5 MP shots without any discernable decrease in quality. There is not a lot of manual intervention available. So, for the “serious/creative” photographer, it does not offer a lot of control. I’ve noticed it takes noticeable time to write to the memory card. May be my lack of experience with a higher MP camera, but it has not impacted my ability to take candid pictures. Flash coverage is somewhat limited, but will suffice for wider angle internal shots. I am extremely pleased with the C360. Use battery power is a pet peeve of mine & this puppy “makes gas.” It is a great, easy to use, P&S camera. Strengths: Battery usage, beutifully exposed pictures Weaknesses: Write to card time Similar Products Used: Nikon Coolpix 4600, Kodak CX6230 Customer Service: Not had a requirement to contact them
