Review 1 of 4

Price Paid:  $175.00 from El Corte Ingles, Lis

Summary:

I've bought BenQ DC2300 when strolling through El Corte Ingles' Electronics Shop because I've been thinking of acquiring a digital camera and this one seemed very appealing to me (in terms of quality and price). Since then I've used it to photograph almost everything and the results are just surprisingly good!

Strengths:

Ease of use; Quick and Simple USB based transfer of the files to the PC; SD expandable memory; Night Flash (very powerful); Excellent LCD display; Great quality of the pictures for a camera of this genre.

Weaknesses:

Low power of the Auto Flash when photographing at night; Small built-in memory (8Mb only); The only way you have to transfer files from your SD card to the PC is acquiring a Memory Card reader; The zoom is worthless because it over-pixelates the photos.

Review 2 of 4

Price Paid:  $123.00 from Malaysia

Summary:

I got this camera for the sake of having a digital camera - mainly to capture candid moments with friends and of any interesting scenes or objects I come across without having to think twice about wasting film or anything like that. The DC2300 was perfect for me and I found the quality of the pictures surprisingly good! Got myself a 64MB SD card, rechargeable 2100mAh Ni-MH batteries with charger, and voila! I was ready to capture about 150 pictures before the weak battery signal started to blink.

Strengths:

Cheap price, quality pictures, strong flash, SD card expandable.

Weaknesses:

Small built in memory, dark pictures out of the flash range at night.

Similar Products Used:

Canon Powershot A10

Review 3 of 4

Price Paid:  $194.00 from EYO

Summary:

(Cost $AUD) I was quite suprised with the results this little cheapie has produced. I only bought it to suppress the urge to go out and blow my budget on a new 5MP model, and to send some pics to my girlfriend who's travelling overseas. I've only had it a week but i've already taken a few hundred photos, mainly of the dog. I don't have much material to work with at this stage.

Strengths:

Ease of use, compact size, great price, SD card slot, fast easy plug & play usb transfer.

Weaknesses:

Small in-built memory, ships without AC adapter, dicey video.

Customer Service:

I bought it online through Sydney based EYO (www.eyo.com.au). It was ordered Thursday night and arrived on monday morning. Not bad for interstate shipping.

Review 4 of 4

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:

A very nice camera in it's range. Extremely easy to get started with and for a non-pro user like me, the images are good. An extra plus for the camera not draining the batteries after 30 minutes, this one goes way beyond that.

Strengths:

Price, ease of use, image quality.

Weaknesses:

Digital zoom, really next to useless since the images get all pixelated.
