from circuit city Summary: Probably the best pocket camera out there in my opinion for the reasons being-
-Very small, and at the same time has ok lenses, that are very quick and quiet.
-versatile, macro's, video with sound, and even has a decent lcd 1.5 inches. The battery has some decent life to it too.
-TOUGH. All metal casing, lens cover built into the camera, thick plastic lcd protector.
My favorite part is that it takes pictures on the fly better than any other camera I can find. The cannon powershot S series, olympus camedia, elph's, fuji, nothing comes as close to being super fast at setting up to take the pic, and the time it takes when you press the shutter. Its razor fast for the money.
I highly suggest giving it a try , for a pocket camera. Get the new pro memory sticks and you can hold tons of pics. I got the 256 mb card, its great. Strengths: Can hold the new PRO memory sticks. Tiny, and pocketable. Durable and rugged, its a take anywhere camera. Its the best pocket camera for the money, at 349 , I consider it a steal for what you get. But hey, I could be wrong... Weaknesses: Limited to sony's proprietary memory, but such is life. That and it uses their proprietary rechargeable info-lithiums, again, such is life. Its worth it for the camera. Drivers ARE NOT OUT for the Pro media to read in aftermarket readers, but they soon will be. If you have a sony reader, sony has released drivers for their readers.. Similar Products Used: I have tried, used, demo'd tons of cameras. Customer Service: Sony's customer service is neat. Its automated, but getting someone on the phone is not hard, and they have always been really knowledgable. They really stepped up their quality in the last few years.
