Review 2 of 6

Price Paid:  $500.00 from Dbuys.com

Summary:

Surprised at the quality photos I get from this camera. Very easy to use, small, and a great value. So glad I bought this camera. Features are outstanding. Some weaknesses - but nothing serious.

Strengths:

Compact size, quality photos, ease of use, and that Pentax name.

Weaknesses:

Battery doesn't last long. Have to charge constantly. But I get around that by carrying spare batteries. Also, flash card that comes with this thing is too small, only 16 meg. Got around that by buying a 128 meg flash card.

Review 3 of 6

Price Paid:  $459.00 from 1 Stop Cameras & Ele

Summary:

The size of the camera lends itself to having on hand. There is no excuse for not taking that suddenly appearing shot. The quality of the pictures keeps you from regretting that you did not use a more sophisticated camera to take the shot. There's a lot of sophistication in this little package. It's easy to use in the automatic mode and it lends itself to using your own expertise to take that complex picture.

Strengths:

Size Ease of use Quality of pictures Good value for the money Manual usage

Weaknesses:

Sometimes (rarely) it's too small. Can only use the lense that comes with the camera. Could use a bigger screen

Review 4 of 6

Price Paid:  $550.00 from Tokio, Japan

Summary:

Excelent camera. I was looking for something small that I can carry around all the time and at the same time good picture quality. Definely this camera meets very well my criteria. I have made awasome portraits of my kids. I did not care about some of the weaknesses I read about specifically you can not attach an external flash or addional lenses and full manual mode.

Strengths:

Size, picture quality outdoors and in good lighting condition is superb.

Weaknesses:

As I have read in many reviews and I tend to agree, in low light autofocus does not work very well. This is the only real weakness for me of the camera. However, you get to know the camera after a while and you work around it.

Only used the Pentax web site to download a file for Windows XP. No problems at all.

Review 5 of 6

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:

No complaints other than low light focusing. Very pleased with the image quality. Just like my Canon S100, it''s small enough to be carried around without being annoying.

Strengths:

- movie mode - manual overrides for aperture & shutter- sharpness, saturation, contrast settings - small

Weaknesses:

- poor autofocus in low light, made worse with no focus assist light

Similar Products Used:

Canon S100 - I had no complaints with my Canon, but wanted higher resolution. I would have bought a Canon S40 in a second, except it''s just that much larger than I would prefer. I didn''t want to h
