Review 1 of 4

Price Paid:  $800.00 from e-bay

Summary:

Excellent landscape camera. Perhaps one of the best. Built like a tank. Mine accidentally fell off the tripod and rolled 45 down a steep hill and it still operated fine. A little heavy but worth it for durability. The revolving back is something that I could now not live without.

Strengths:

Durable..Built Like Tank Easy to setup and use Smooth focusing Adequate movements for landscape and some architechtural work Revolving back a big convenience

Weaknesses:

Weight..a little heavy for extended backpacking

Similar Products Used:

Tachihara

Customer Service:

Sent camera in for replacement bellows after I bought it on e-bay. Had camera back in less than 2 weeks.

None for the photograpy that I enjoy.

Review 3 of 4

Model Reviewed:
Toyo-Field 45AII

Summary:

Unless you can afford a Linhoff, you can't get much better. Of course, buy quality glass (Rodenstock, Schneider).

Strengths:

Compact, tight, high standard of manufacture. The rotating back is joy to use. Toyo film holders are the best !

Weaknesses:

For a field camera, none. (Less movement than a true view camera.)

Similar Products Used:

Played with a Linhoff Technikardan.

Customer Service:

None needed, but Mamiya America (Mamiya, Toyo, Sekonic, Cabin, Profoto) has superior service & support.
